Meetings Held:1st Monday of the month at 10-30 am

Holsworthy Library Reading Group was formed in November 2002. We have 12 members of both sexes which gives a good balance to the group. Not every one can attend every time so we usually have about 8/9 members at each meeting.

We meet on the 1st Monday of the month at 10:30am. for approx. 1 - 1½ hours to discuss the book chosen the previous month and to share any other "good reads" over a cup of coffee.

During the year we have read both fiction and non-fiction, modern, classics and poetry.

We have had author evenings with Michael Jecks, John Earle, Judith Cutler and Edward Marston. And also had a talk on the National Trust's activities in this area as some of our group are new to the town.

A few of the group visited Tavistock library Reading Group for their Christmas Variety Evening and we had our own celebrations with seasonal readings, mincepies and mulled wine.

We are a very friendly and relaxed group and welcome new members .
