Barnstaple Library Reading Groups

We currently have three reading groups which meet in Barnstaple Library once a month. The atmosphere is quite informal and new members are welcome. The choice of books ranges from the classics to modern, selected by the members. The meeting lengths vary (depending on how good the book was!) but generally are an hour to an hour and a half. Anyone interested in joining should get in touch even if the current times are inconvenient – we are always keen to start new groups.

Meeting times:

First Monday 7:30 pm

First Thursday 2:00 pm

Third Wednesday 2:00 pm

As well as the library groups, we support over twenty other reading groups by supplying books and in some cases a venue. This is a free service for registered groups. We will provide up to ten copies of a chosen book, subject to availability, for a long loan. On request we can also usually supply limited copies in large print or audio format.
