As part of World Book Day in March, a list of 100 books was offered to the public, to give them the chance to uncover a hidden gem. The quality of the titles on the list of great novels by living writers shone out, but these books hadn’t been treasured as much as they should have been. Public voting reduced the list to a shortlist of ten titles, and after the second round of voting by the public, Boy A by Jonathan Trigell emerged the winner.

Readers in Moretonhampstead and Axminster libraries can now enjoy the 10 shortlisted titles – and see whether they agree!
