Title: Writers' Workshop with Teresa Driscoll
Date:Saturday 11 October
Time: 10:00-13:00
Description: Short stories for pleasure and for profit. Broadcaster, journalist and author Teresa Driscoll will help aspiring writers to make the very best of their short fiction with tips on submitting to commercial magazine and literary competitions. On the day bring along paper, pens and an open mind!

Date:First Tuesday of the month (excluding August)

Description: Book Club for children. Do you like: -Reading Books? -Talking about books? -Making things to do with books? -Finding out about authors and books? -Are you an independent reader? If so come and ask about joining the Okehampton Book Worms.

Description: It's not a race, it's not a test. Simply choose the books you like and when you have read them, chat to your local librarian about them, up to 4 books at a time. You are awarded a badge when you have read 10, 25, 50 and 75 books plus stickers at 40, 50 and 90 books. When you have finished your reading trail of 100 books you will get a special certificate, a gold badge and a 5 book token!
