Slimy Slump

Slimy Slump

Slimy Slump

Slimy Slump

There's a lizard on the celing
There's a lizard that likes to jump
He's really very scary
And his name is Slimy slump

My sister says he's slimy
His body's as tough as steel
I know he's going to get me
Because he's looking for a meal

I pull the covers over my face
So then he'll be out of sight
But all I see is his moonlight eyes
Gleaming with delight

Suddenly I am crying
I really want my mum
I sit there looking helpless
Hoping that she will come

Peacock, by Maisie age 8

The Peacock picture above was sent to me by Maisie who is 8 and uses Holsworthy Library red arrow up- Well done for recycling paper too Maisie. Maisie also sent in the poem below, called The Sea Is Like a Dog! Hope you like your Goodies!

Clever M@x!

The Sea is Like a Dog
pouncing on the rocks
grabbing sand and stones.

On stormy nights
it barks, growls and fights.

On sunny days
it rests and prowls silently.

Hey M@x the clever dog! Gotta be true!

Catherine is pictured here receiving her Goody Bag

redarrowHere is a poem from Catherine, age 11 from Axminster

There once was a dog called M@x
Who liked to eat lots of snacks
He also like to read the books
That from the Library he took
That was the clever dog M@x
