Book Club Pages

Book Club Challenge LogoFor Challenge 4 the book clubs were each asked to design a guide to their library for an alien new to the planet who arrives by spaceship.

All of the entries were fantastic, I really enjoyed looking through them. The winning guide was chosen because it was extremely vibrant, simple and easy to understand with lovely illustrations and tried to make sure aliens would know the basics about using a Devon library.

The winners are Raving Readers from Dawlish Library, well done!

Raving Readers

All of the clubs who entered really put some thought into how an alien would be able to read English!?
The Bookaneers invented a translator (which looks suspiciously like a paperclip) and the Raving Readers came up with the idea of an Alien : English dictionary! Meanwhile, the Newts were busy thinking about Earth Gadgets such as computers, to show that libraries don’t just have books.
