M@x Goodies Winners

On National Libraries Day, 4th February we held a draw for all new members that joined on the day. The lucky winner in the under 12 group was Alexander, age 6 who joined Ilfracombe Library. Welcome Alexander and I really hope you enjoy your library membership as much as I do! Alexander wins a selection of M@x goodies.

It is about a girl who's friend is adopted so they both decide to try and find her birth mother but the girl does't want to ask her adopted mother. They find a singer who they think could be her mother as they have the same features, i.e freckles, so when they hear that she is going to come to their school they are delighted and try to ask her is she is in actual fact this girls mother or not. In the end she finds out that the singer is not actually her mother after all and she sits down with her mum and finds out that she got abandoned at a hospital as her mum put down a false name and address Reviewer: Scarlett, age 11 | ![]() |

Q - Why did the cucumber cross the road?
A - Because it was the chickens day off!
The three little pigs go in to a restaurant. The first pig orders spaghetti, the second pig orders pasta, and the third pig orders water. For desert the first pig orders cake, the second pig orders custard and the third pig orders water.
"Why do you keep ordering water?" the waiter says to the third pig.
The third pig answers, "Well someone has to go wee-wee-wee all the way home!"
