The group reads a wide variety of books, mostly fiction but with some non-fiction along the way. We all read the same title chosen from a wide selection available as sets from Devon Library Services.

Meetings are informal and take place over a cup of coffee. There is no pressure to offer an opinion or finish the book, and liking the book is definitely not compulsory - some of the best discussions have occurred when we all hated it! About 30-45 minutes are given over to discussing the chosen title after which members are encouraged to offer recommendations to the rest of the group.

Most members have discovered 'new' authors and broadened their reading horizons, often enjoying something they would never have ordinarily picked off the shelf.
