Gregory - The Constant Princess

The Constant Princess by Philippa Gregory

The Constant Princess by Philippa Gregory

Philippa Gregory is a best-selling novelist and broadcaster for radio and television. With a  PhD in eighteenth-century literature from the University of Edinburg, she is the author of numerous historical novels, including The Other Boleyn Girl (which was adapted for BBC television), as well as works of contemporary suspense.

In this Orange Prize longlisted book she tells the story of Katherine of Aragon, born Catalina, the Spanish Infanta, to parents who are both kings and crusaders and betrothed at three to Prince Arthur, the son and heir of King Henry VII of England. The book deals extensively with her childhood in Spain as well as the tumultuous years in England.

“A terrific yarn that'll send you scurrying back to the history books that Philippa Gregory used during her extensive research.”
