Family History Help Desks
Members of the Devon Family History Society (DFHS) will be on hand to offer their expertise and advice in how best to trace family history at the following locations in 2012.
Devon Record Office, Exeter
Help Desks will be held in the refreshment room on the following days in 2012:
- Saturday 17th March (as part of the Devon Heritage Services Open Day, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. – no appointment necessary)
- Thursday 12th July
- Thursday 1st November
The Help Desks in July and November run from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. and members of the public are invited to book a free 45 minute appointment with a member of the DFHS team.
During the visit you will be shown how to use popular websites including AncestryLibrary Edition and Find My Past, as well as how to find out about accessing written records in the record office. This is a great opportunity for everyone to visit the Devon Record Office for an informal chat and receive some valuable help with family history research.
