Equality Policy
The three documents that underpin our work to become a fairer council are listed below:
- Our Equality Policy
(289KB - pdf help) sets out how we expect staff and Members to understand about equality and operate in a non-discriminatory and inclusive way. - Our Fair For All Programme (266KB - pdf help) is our Equality Scheme which contains an action plan, outlining how we are going to achieve greater equality and diversity and act on our policy commitments. Each year we publish an Annual Report outlining progress against the Fair for All Programme and best practice across the organisation.
- The Equality Impact and Needs (EINA) process and Toolkit (412KB - pdf help) which helps us reduce or remove the negative impacts on different groups and promote equality better. This toolkit helps our staff undertake these assessments on services, functions and policies. The results of these assessments can be seen here.
