We’re proud of Devon, it’s a great place to live and 83% of you agree. It’s one of the highest satisfaction ratings in the UK. We want to make sure Devon stays that way and that everyone who lives in our great county can enjoy a good quality of life.  That’s why we ask people in Devon about how we can improve their local services and involve them in shaping the future of their communities.

Of course consultation does not mean just listening to the wishes and views, the likes and needs of the majority - it is as much about understanding and listening to the needs of the few. The minority voices in our communities can often get lost and marginalised. We therefore take particular care in consulting directly and indirectly (via representative groups) to ensure everyone’s voice is heard.
