From January 1st 2005 you can submit a request for information not made available through the publication scheme. Normally, this would have to be a letter or an e-mail, although verbal requests will be accepted. We will inform you whether we hold the information and subject to exemptions and a cost ceiling supply the information within twenty working days. Where an exemption is applied, we will explain which one and why we have applied it. Requests by an individual to access personal information about themselves should still be made under the Data Protection Act 1998.
