The internet is sometimes described as a "library". The reason being is it is basically just a huge collection of information. However with the internet there is no indexing system, the books are not arranged neatly on shelves - more likely scattered all over the floor. That being said you can find information on virtually any subject with just a few clicks.
Our course is designed to help you get the best out of the internet. We will give you tips on how to narrow down your search so that you are not bogged down with a lot of irrelevant information. We will also introduce you th The Source - our own internal site dedicted to staff of Devon County Council.
Devon County Council's standard application for browsing the Internet is Microsoft Internet Explorer.
