Outlook XP - The Inbox

OBJECTIVES:

To show how to send and receive e-mail messages, how to use Outlook when attaching files, applying formatting and using rules.

Please note this course ONLY covers use of the Inbox in Outlook.  To learn how to use Calendar, Contacts and Tasks you will need to attend the Outlook One Day Course.

AUDIENCE:

This course is aimed at new users of Outlook who need a basic introduction in how to use the e-mail function of Outlook.

DURATION:

Half a day.

PRE-REQUISITES:

To have attended Using a Computer Steps 1, 2 & 3 or PC Awareness Course or have a very good working knowledge of Windows XP.

Introduction to the Outlook window Assigning levels of importance and sensitivity
Receiving e-mail messages Using the address book/distribution lists
Creating and sending e-mail messages Using the Rules Wizard
Attaching documents to e-mail messages Using the Out of Office Assistant
Using Outlook Today Using the Organiser
