Welcome days for new foster carers

A one day course. A personal invitation will be sent to all newly approved foster carers.
Aims and objectives of the course
- To introduce newly approved foster carers to the structure of Devon’s Fostering Service.
- To meet some of the experienced foster carers and employees.
- To look at the role of foster carers in making placements for children and young people in Devon’s care successful.
- To explore working in partnership with parents, children’s services, education, health and others involved in the care and wellbeing of children and young people in care.

Time: 10am – 3pm
Venue: Oaklands Court, Unit 7, Tiverton Business Park, Tiverton Way EX16 6TG
This will be an opportunity to discuss and meet various employees and foster carers with varying roles and responsibilities within the Fostering Service. The session will hopefully help newly approved foster carers to understand the Fostering Service better and the role that they will now make to its continuing success.
