Substance Misuse and Young People

Learning outcomes: This training gives participants an opportunity to learn more extensively about young people’s drug and alcohol use. In the course we cover a wide variety of topics to bring awareness of the issues young people face and how that impacts on their drug taking behaviour.
By the end of the course carers will have knowledge of:
- the risk factors for children and young people
- the protective factors for children and young people
- the local service that supports young people
- best practice in drug education
- how to complete a screening tool on a young person.
