Learning outcomes:

• Working together to identify, assess and meet the needs of children where there are safeguarding concerns.
• The impact of parenting issues such as domestic abuse and substance misuse on parenting capacity.
• Recognising the importance of family history and functioning.
• Working with children and family members, including addressing lack of co-operation and superficial compliance.

Maximum number for this course: there is one space available for a foster carer on each course. This is a multi-agency training programme which provides a good opportunity for carers to train alongside teachers, health professionals and other social care staff. Please register your interest on the booking form, and

the training clerk will be in touch. If you are offered a place it is essential that you attend.

This course is supported by an e-learning module which participants are required to complete prior to being offered a place on the one day course.
