Early Years and Childcare Service

Devon County Council Early Years and Childcare Service supports the expansion and improvement of services for children across Devon.

There has been a great deal of development in these services in recent years and with the advent of the Childcare Act 2006 this rate of development will continue.

If you are a Parent or Carer, work with (or would like to work with) children, provide (or would like to provide) a service for children – or if you are under 16 – this site will be of interest to you.

What's new?

Early Years Foundation Stage Review

The call for evidence for the EYFS Review begins on 2nd August and continues through until the end of September. We would like to encourage everyone who comes into contact with the EYFS to respond. There will be a questionnaire with a series of directed questions and opportunities for comments on the Department for Education Consultations

What do you do out of school? We want your views.

We are now consulting with Children and Young People across Devon to find out what they do out of school. If you are a young person and want to tell us your views please image - PDF icon (368KB - pdf help).

Devon Celebrates Quality
