Specialist support for women who experience domestic violence and abuse

  • Outreach Services

Outreach services provide support to all those affected by domestic violence and abuse across Devon. They provide a confidential helpline, face to face support, free counselling, support groups, risk assessment and safety planning, advocacy, Pattern changing programme and access to a safe house. Outreach Services will also support you at meetings with other agencies, such as solicitors and criminal justice agencies.

  • Refuge Accomodation (for women, children and young people)

Refuges provide safe temporary housing to women who need to leave an abusive situation. Support workers offer emotional and practical support and can help access move on accommodation and benefits and legal advice. Refuges also have specialised children and young people's workers to support children and young people living in the refuge.

National Women's Aid Helpline

The helpline provides access to 24-hour emergency refuge accommodation, as well as an information and advice service, including safety planning and translation facilities to those who suffer at the hand of an abusive partner.
