Specialist police domestic violence units
All of the Officers in the Specialist Police Support unit have been specifically trained to deal with victims of domestic abuse. You can contact these officers to discuss any concerns you have about reporting an incident and family and friends of victims can also contact the officers for advice and information on other useful services. The police take incidents of domestic abuse very seriously.

Victim Support volunteers, who have been specially trained to deal with domestic abuse victims, can help you by talking with you, providing emotional support and helping you to explore the choices that are open to you. Victim Support will prioritise your safety and confidentiality if you choose to talk to them.
