The Laboratory has been accredited to ISO17025 since 1999, by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). We operate under the terms of a strict quality system, and are regularly inspected by UKAS auditors.
Our accreditation and service extends to the calibration of OIML Class F2, M1 and M2 weights from 1mg to 25kg. We issue Certificates of Calibration in accordance with the laboratory accreditation requirements of UKAS and ISO17025.

Please see the table below for examples of the permitted tolerances for each class of weight. M1 level is usually suitable for most general industrial purposes, with F2 level being used for more precise industrial uses. Your company's quality manual may specify the accuracy level that you require.

Our certificates demonstrate traceability of measurement to the recognised national standards, which are maintained by the National Physical Laboratory in London.
All mass calibrations are conducted in temperature and humidity controlled rooms in our laboratory, to ensure accuracy and repeatability.
We can arrange for most types of weights to be adjusted, should they fall outside the desired limits of error. We can also arrange for certain types of weights to be cleaned and individually identified by marking or stamping, should this be desired. (The services of adjustment, cleaning and marking of weights are not covered by our UKAS accreditation.)
