Most grant funding is only available to formal organisations such as sports clubs, village hall committees, registered charities etc. There are however a few grant schemes which, in certain circumstances, can fund work on residential property.

District Councils - some Devon Districts have their own insulation grant scheme
Warm Front - help with the costs of energy efficiency and heating systems for people on certain benefits
Low Carbon Buildings Programme - grants for small-scale renewable energy technologies
RE4D - advice on renewable energy for householders in West Devon, South Hams, Torridge, North Devon and part of Mid Devon.
Repairing a listed building
If your home is a Grade I or II*listed building and is in urgent need of repair, you may be able to get a grant from English Heritage
