The Devon Reinvestment Service (DRS) provides practical support to community groups in Devon to develop community facilities. With a mix of long-term project management and technical skills the DRS can help communities to develop or safeguard their land or buildings so as to create sustainable community assets. These might be village halls, community centres, small business workshops or IT facilities.
The aim is to ensure that communities can access the widest range of support and finance from both private and public sectors and, crucially, the business community to develop sustainable projects that will support their economic and social well-being whilst enhancing the natural environment.
The support available through DRS includes community planning, property development advice, access to grants and loans, pro bono professional expertise for specific tasks, development of social enterprises and support for small and community enterprises.
