Ley Holloway Jewellery and decorative objects in North Devon. Jewellery Made by the Sea’
Unique jewellery made using a variety of media and incorporating vintage and recycled beads.

Silver Clay - An interesting medium from Japan which produces solid silver from firing a clay like material.

unique jewellery

Polymer Clay, which Ley uses to simulate ivory or bone - These pieces are mostly illustrative with carved images and patterns and, occasionally, inlaid found objects and pieces of shell. Ley also makes tiny boxes from this material with silk or velvet linings made from old ribbon or recycled silk clothing.

Beads with Sea Glass or semi precious stones - Ley’s main focus at the moment is on jewellery made using pieces of glass picked up on the local beaches of North Devon. These are surrounded by a mount of beads, some of which are vintage, to create gorgeous jewels which are suspended either from beaded chains and ropes of beads or from ribbons. Some pieces are also made using either cabochon cut or tumble-polished semi precious stones.

Ley Holloway sells her work through the Exmoor Brass Rubbing Centre, located at the Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park
