Making exhibition quality furniture takes time and cannot be hurried. He uses traditional methods of construction and mostly hand tools but power tools are used where appropriate along with the most up-to-date glues. Bruce prefers to use finishes that continue to improve after the furniture has left his workshop, such as wood oil or beeswax polish.
