Green Skills

The Green Skills group was born out of the Productive Skills for Devon and Somerset (PS4D+S) group who recognised that there were a number of initiatives across Cornwall, Devon and Somerset which would benefit from meeting up to share information and create linkages between projects. Meeting Minutes and presentations are outlined below along with examples of key projects taking place across Devon:

Key projects include across Devon include:

South Devon College Energy Centresdcenergycentre

This project has been allocated £1.2m of funding from the first round of bidding to the Government’s Regional Growth Fund to develop a new ‘Energy Centre’ which will form a hub to meet the growing demand for high quality accredited training in renewable energy and sustainable building. The Hub will also work to raise awareness amongst business and domestic consumers within the Torbay and South Devon area.
