Title: The Lives of Lady Rhondda: Suffragette, International Businesswoman and Editor of 'Time& Tide'

Description: Lady Rhondda (1883-1958) was one of the movers and shakers of early twentieth century Britain. A suffragette and then a tireless campaigner for a seat for women in the House of Lords, she was also a major industrialist. She found and edited the cutting-edge weekly paper, 'Time and Tide' and was closely associated with figures such as George Bernard Shaw, E.M.Delafield, Vera Brittain and Winifred Holtby. Drawing upon a wide range of sources, Angela V. John examines the life of this immensely energetic, versatile and fascinating figure.

Description: The Visually Impaired Book Club offers an opportunity to discuss books (supplied as audiobook or large print book) in an informal and supportive atmosphere.
