Adult Provider Services
The following pages are for staff working in Devon County Council Adult Social Care Provider Services. They may also be of interest to staff in Private, Voluntary and Independent Social Care Provision.
The Workforce Development Team are here to enable social care providers in Devon to meet their CQC outcomes;Devon County Council's strategic commissioning needs for the future; and to support key health and social care priorities such as: the National Dementia Strategy, the End of Life Strategy and the Government’s Personalisation agenda.
These important strategies mark a change in the culture of social care. Our attitudes and behaviours need to support service users and their carers to have access to relevant information in a way that they understand, to make their own choices, to live a life that they see as fulfilling and in many cases have control of their own social care budget.
Workforce Development aims to assist staff in understanding these initiatives, make practical application of them in the workplace, learn new skills where necessary and, most importantly continue to reflect on their work and challenge themselves and their service to deliver a truly personalised service.
