JURASSIC COAST: BUDLEIGH SALTERTON TO LADRAM BAY WALK – Saturday 25th April 2009
Interesting, easy walk of about 3 hours that covers many geological features. Walk along the beach eastwards to the mouth of the River Otter to view the most extraordinary spit, as well as marshes either side of the estuary. Retracing steps westwards, opportunity to examine the exposures in the cliffs of Sherwood Formation sandstones and the Budleigh Pebble Beds. If time allows Ladram Bay will be visited by car to see further exposures of the Triassic Rock.

JURASSIC COAST: BURTON BRADSTOCK WALK – Saturday 16th May 2009
This 3 mile (5km) starts at Hive Beach. Walk along the cliff top and beach to the east and west of Burton Bradstock. Very interesting opportunity to look at wildlife, natural history and geology especially the Bridport Sand and the Inferior Oolite. At this time of year, the plants should be coming into flower.
