The Freedom of Information Act provides members of the public with a right to access information held by public authorities subject to the application of certain exemptions.
Devon County Council receives many requests under both the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004. In some instances these requests are for information that is not held by our council, but may be held by another public authority in Devon.
