Environmental Technologies

There is a range of new technologies which can contribute to reducing our impact on the environment.  Devon County Council promotes the development and use of environmental technologies in Devon and is participating in several new initiatives, including:

Devon Sustainable Building Initiative (DSBI)
A not-for-profit organisation which promotes and enables sustainable building in the county.  It was formed by a partnership of local authorities, inlcuding Devon County Council, universities, and other interested organisations and individuals.

RE4D (Renewable Energy 4 Devon)
A new initiative offering free, independent advice and support on renewable energy options, as well as assessing technologies and installers, addressing planning issues and providing access to grants and loans for businesses and communities.
