Devon County Council, along with multi-agency partners, is responsible for preparing plans for communities in Devon with a high risk of flooding.

The Environment Agency provide a flood warning service and are responsible for the implementation and maintenance of flood defences.

The County Council through its operational depots across Devon has responsibility to ensure that roads are clear and that water is drained from roads.
