Educational Psychologists have undertaken specialist postgraduate professional training in educational psychology as well as being qualified and experienced teachers. Psychologists employed by the Local Education Authority are eligible for Chartered Status with the British Psychological Society.

Educational Psychologists apply psychological knowledge and skills to promote children's development, achievement and welfare, working closely with colleagues in the LA and other agencies.
