Plym Valley

Although built and designed as a cycleway, this route on the old GWR branch line from the edge of Plymouth towards Yelverton is also suitable for all users. The route goes through woodland, gives views of Dartmoor, passes a number of sites of industrial archaeological importance and also crosses high above the river Plym on a number of viaducts. Parking and access is from Marsh Mills and Plym Bridge.

An extension south from Marsh Mills passes through the grounds of Saltram House and gives attractive views over the Plym Estuary, but is not completely surfaced so is not suitable for wheelchairs.
