From coastline, across moorland and farmland to areas of ancient woodland, Devon is in every way an unusually attractive and varied landscape. The beauty of the rugged coast and characteristic inland winding lanes is rich with wild flowers, birds and animals. This brings people from every walk of life to Devon to relax and enjoy a breath of rural air.
Increasingly in recent years there has been a move to open up this stunning countryside, where possible, to those with limited mobility or those who just want an easy and relaxing walk in scenic surroundings.
These pages are designed to encourage the family group out into rural areas on safe and easily accessible paths, which have been chosen to exclude stiles, steps or any obstruction which would cause difficulty to those with limited mobility.

Further information on recreational routes suitable for all.
In each section a list of routes is described. You will need to use an Ordnance Survey Landranger or Pathfinder map for details of the location. Many paths are listed with a contact telephone number and details can be gained from these numbers or the local Tourist Information Centre. Those paths with a number alongside the name are Public Rights of Way and any queries should be addressed to Devon County Council.
