Since 1987 children with Down syndrome in the South Devon area have been offered the choice of either local mainstream primary education or special school placement.

This 92 page report LOOKS AT a group of 13 children with Down syndrome educated in their local mainstream primary schools and COMPARES them with a similar group of 9 children at special schools.

The children's ages range between 4 and 11 years.
