It has been a huge project to distribute and collate the appraisal. We appreciate the effort taken by all participants, and hope that it will help us to build a better community.

There's an enormous amount of work here to be done and we need to take things step by step!

We've appointed a Chair, Secretary and Treasurer and have adopted a constitution; a bank account has been opened and we are seeking to raise funds as a charity. In the short term we have identified 5 main areas for action. It's a start - but the future depends on your involvement! The Steering Group will run in its present form for up to a period of one year, after which it may be reformed to meet the community's needs more effectively and elections will take place at that point - look out for details, and think about playing a part yourself!

We would like to wish the New School every success and look forward to working with them in bringing about a new community environment. We hope that new initiatives and ideas are taken up and more people look to Whiddon Valley as the place to live.
