424 Households responded representing 1079 people in the Canal Ward.

Gender Response: There was a good balance of men and women responding:

Men = 349, Women = 461

Age Group Response: The age group response was a little top heavy (to be expected) i.e.

Vehicle Ownership and Local Parking:

420 Households own vehicles (with 116 having 2 or more).

109 households own no vehicle.

25 own motorcycles.

Parking:

The majority are parked off the road but a significant minority are parked on the road, particularly in the inner ward area where in some roads there is quite a problem.

Recommendations:

It will be important to consider the question of adequate parking facilities and vehicle access for the Community Centre. It is not envisaged that much will be required.
