SERVICES EMERGENCY
53 people considered the fire service to be good or reasonable, whilst 51 considered the ambulance service in the same light. The police were considered by 35 people to offer a good service, however 33 considered the service to be poor. This obviously needs to be investigated further. ‘Experience with Air Ambulance excellent’ RECYCLING
The School currently carries out recycling on a limited scale and has been put forward in the appraisal as a site for a proper pavilion. This is an area to be investigated further. SHOP/P.O./PUB 41 people supported the need for a post office and the same number considered there should be a pub. 30 people thought a shop was required.
NEWSLETTER/PARISH ACTIVITIES/PLANNING CONTROL 58 people considered there was a need for more information regarding parish activities. 53 people thought there was insufficient information with regard to planning controls.
A quarterly newsletter was identified as the most popular choice for information concerning parish activities to be made public. 20 people have said they would volunteer to help if a Parish newsletter was started. 38 people run their own business, 25 in agriculture. 2 people intend to become self-employed in the next 12 months. Lack of finance and premises were identified as possible constraints. 12 people are involved in voluntary work.
