Health and Medical Services

All the medical services that are well used received good reports. The Doctors, the Cottage Hospital and Exeter Hospital, and the Dentist serve Moretonhampstead very well. Some services were so little used that no firm conclusions could be drawn from the replies.

Of the people replying to questions on the Health Service 73 persons (25% of users) had difficulty getting to Exeter Hospital and 43 people (31% of users) had difficulty getting to Torbay. Difficulty was experienced accessing family planning and counselling services. As there is no Optician in the town difficulty was found in getting to an Optician. This indicates a need for a better transport service to Medical Services.
