VILLAGE INFORMATION

There was a view that information was well circulated throughout the Parish via the various mediums e.g. Noticeboard, Molland Murmurs, In Touch.

ACTION

To continue to support the mediums to provide detailed information for all parties.

MOBILE LIBRARY

There was mixed support for whether the Mobile library service was used.

ACTION

All those who wish to see this service remain should either continue or start to use this service regularly to ensure its retention.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

31% of those surveyed said that if an I.T. facility was available in the village they would use it.

ACTION

It is felt that this is an area that should be explored further as there may be opportunities for training education and employment.

An approach to be made to the Partnership Committee for funding to provide a computer facility. This could be used by the community and for example located in the shop. Sub committee/working party to be set up to take project further.

LOCAL GOVERNMENT

Planning Pie Chart

A great majority felt that the local Planning Department gave insufficient consideration to local needs and opinions.

ACTION

The results to be reported to the Local Planning Department however, further analysis of this question may be necessary to identify particular parties concerns.

POST OFFICE/SHOP/PUB

There was a majority support for retaining the above facilities and they were highly valued, however those actually using them was lower.

ACTION

To ensure the continuation of the above facilities active support must be given to local business. Any improvements or suggestions to ensure that these services prosper should be given to the steering group. The Estate are carrying out a redevelopment of the village shop.
