INTRODUCTION

May we thank all residents of Milton Abbot Parish who completed the questionnaire. Special thanks go to the children of Milton Abbot School for making the cover and the ad hoc committee who arranged the formulation, distribution and collection of the replies.

We have had the statistical analysis back from the Community Council of Devon, and it reveals some interesting facts about life and attitudes in the village.

Of the 155 forms we sent out, 68 households returned them (a 44% response rate), and a total of 133 people answered the questionnaire.

The results provide some useful statistics for the Parish to consider when proposing future action. However, care needs to be taken in reading the following summary since conclusions are based on the 44% of the village population who returned their forms.
