Other concerns: TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS There are 1.6 cars per household with 59% of Holne households having 2 or more cars. Use of cars – daytime
Sharing of private vehicles 18 people would be prepared to operate a scheme. 37 people would provide a voluntary transport service with 10 people who would make use of it. 54 people were dissatisfied with the lack of public transport. Perhaps a community bus linking villages throughout the moor, available to walkers, cyclists, locals and tourists would help. Recommendation: Discuss at Public Meeting on 20th July both the above. Public Transport If better public transport was available, how would it be used?
School Bus - 20% of parents were dissatisfied, mainly with daily arrival late for school, aim for 9.00 am arrival instead of the present 9.15 am.Recommendation: Inform bus company.
