Introduction

The Holbeton Parish Appraisal was delivered to all households in the parish 175 households responded giving a 74% return. The households who responded comprised 445 people of whom 364 were over 10 years old and were therefore eligible to respond to the questions.

This report provides a summary of the results and some relevant comments from respondents. The conclusions are YOURS.

The full results and comments will be used as a guide by the Parish Council and other organisations to aid their decision making and future progress within the parish. The full list of results is available from the Parish Council should anyone wish to see them. Copies of the results will also be forwarded to the Plymouth and West Devon local studies libraries.

‘It is important to strike a balance between providing better facilities within the parish and retaining the important characteristics that make Holbeton Parish unique’.

People in Households

445 people live in those 175 households who completed the questionnaire. The following table shows the breakdown of males and females. 35% were two-person and 23% were one person households.
