HALWELL AND MORELEIGH APPRAISAL REPORT
1999

MILLENNIUM

57% (103) would like a millennium project, 19% (34) said no, 24% (43) had no opinion.

There’s £800,000,000 being wasted already on the Dome, isn’t that enough?'

Recommendation: A millennium event should be planned, and is in hand.

Most of those who replied to this question were in favour of a sports field celebration day, this is now in the planning stages by the Halwell and Moreleigh Sports and Social Committee.

Also many people wanted a village history to be undertaken. And to plant trees.
