HALWELL AND MORELEIGH APPRAISAL REPORT
INTRODUCTION
Over 60% of residents completed the questionnaire back in August, and the Steering Group whole-heartedly thank every one of you for taking the time and trouble to give us your views.
The questionnaire was put together with the sole aim of discovering how you feel about the village, suggestions have been put forward for improvements and enhancements. Where these suggestions have been repeated, it has shown the strength of support to enable these initiatives to get off the ground.
Some of the issues identified in the Appraisal have now been addressed, such as the 30 mile an hour speed limit, bus service, recycling. Other issues identified in the appraisal have attracted high levels of support. Most projects will require careful analysis before they can proceed and some are more long term than others. It will be important to strike a balance between providing better facilities within the Parish and retaining the important characteristics of Halwell and Moreleigh.
THIS REPORT SUMMARISES AS ACCURATELY AS WE CAN THE VIEW OF HALWELL AND MORELEIGH PEOPLE.
We have included many of the large number of comments that you made, but some topics such as road safety, attracted so many comments that only a representative sample can be presented. We sincerely hope that no individual feels left out or misrepresented.
