Although 101 people use Dartmouth for their main shopping, 86 use Totnes.

50 people would like to see a mobile shop for greengrocery and 37 for meat.

The village shop is used for a variety of reasons

Local Government

More Parish Council information is requested by 137 (61%) of the Parishioners and 144 (64%) would like more District Council information. 47 people want to meet their MP more often and 45 their District Councillor and 40 their County Councillor at regular surgeries.

Council Tax

Of those responding to the questionnaire 79% would like to see second home owners paying full Council Tax on their properties.

Religion

The Church emerged as being an important part of the Parish and Village particularly for baptisms, weddings and funerals (137). It was also appreciated as being of historic importance (123).

69 (30%) would like to see the church more involved in everyday life.

Sport, Social & Entertainment

Village Hall

Of those expressing an opinion, 61 say the existing hall is adequate, 109 want to refurbish the existing hall and 43 want a new village hall. 76 people were happy with the existing refurbishment plans, with only 9 not happy whilst 66 had no opinion.

145 people use the hall occasionally, 30 monthly and only 20 weekly for various activities.
