Adva Cyberstalking Campaign 2013
Adva’s 2013 Awareness Raising Campaign ‘Is this Safe?’ reveals the growing problem of cyberstalking and its link with domestic abuse.
“Everything you do online leaves a trace” is the theme of Domestic Abuse Awareness Week in Devon and Cornwall which runs from 25–29 November 2013 and adva has produced a set of simple instructions for victims, families, friends and professionals to ensure that online accounts, including social media channels, are as safe and secure as possible. This year adva have worked with Laura Richards, Director of Paladin National Stalking Advocacy Service and a leading international speaker on this issue, survivors of domestic abuse, and Steve Slater, Devon and Cornwall Police Computer Forensics Manager.
Adva stands for Against Domestic Violence and Abuse across Devon and is a partnership organisation hosted by Devon County Council. Find more out about what adva does and who's in the team. If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic abuse, please the confidential Devon Helpline on 0345 155 1074.
Adva launched the “Is this love?” campaign for 2013's Valentine's Day, to raise awareness of the different aspects of domestic violence and abuse. The campaign was centred around an interactive online quiz.
