What is the Devon Sensory Team?

We are a specialist team providing services to people who are:

• visually impaired, or
• Deaf, or
• have an acquired hearing loss. or
• are deafblind - (sometimes known as a dual sensory impairment - people who have a significant combination of hearing and sight loss).

Our Staff:

The Sensory Team consists of the following:

• Social Workers with Deaf People
• ROVIs - Rehabilitation Officers with People who are Visually Impaired.
• ROHIs - Rehabilitation Officers with People who are Hearing Impaired.
• Resource Centre workers at:
  
  the Sensory Bus
  &
  Sound Base.

Supported by specialist management and administrative staff.

Where are we?

Although we are a countywide team, our staff are strategically placed throughout the Devon. Some are based in Devon Adult & Community Services locality offices, others in our own team offices from where we co-ordinate our work
